2D MARKETING ARTIST

Based in Melbourne, we are one of Australia's largest game development companies. We’ve made some epic titles such as Age of Darkness! Check us out https://www.playsidestudios.com/ and we are looking for a Marketing Artist to join our top-tier art team.

PlaySide Studios are seeking a kick-ass 2D Marketing Artist to join our team. You should have an eye for clean and playful design, possess superior visual communication skills, be highly adaptable, and have the ability to translate high-level requirements into refined final assets in a variety of different formats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside our marketing and creative teams to identify and translate high-level requirements into refined, final assets

  • Assist in the creation of user acquisition materials across a variety of diverse game titles for the purpose of market testing and iteration of game submission assets

  • Create digital assets in a variety of different formats and applications such as app store screenshots, social media ads/banners, end cards, and other 2D creatives.

  • Create and iterate game app icons from the initial market testing through to the final submission quality

  • Adopt existing brand identities to create new assets of a varied visual and thematic approach based on market research

  • To source, acquire, and adapt game content for use in marketing assets

  • Ensuring brand consistency is visually maintained across multiple projects and platforms.

  • Constant research & interpretation of the latest game marketing trends and techniques.

What You Bring To The Role

  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, with a key focus on Photoshop

  • Proactive in planning, prioritization, and time management with the ability to work to strict deadlines

  • Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously

  • Proven experience creating engaging digital marketing assets with great attention to detail

  • Highly skilled in digital illustration

  • Knowledge of graphic design fundamentals (layout, spacing, typography, color theory)

  • Proven ability to work on a diverse range of styles

  • Verbal/written communication skills

  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively

Bonus Points!

  • Experience with motion graphics (AfterEffects or similar)

  • Experience with video editing software (PremierPro or similar)

  • Experience with Unity or other game engines

  • Background in marketing

  • Interest in games and/or game development
