

TOOLS ENGINEER (UNITY)
Overview
An Australian app developer based in Port Melbourne and are looking for a super switched on software engineer to join our talented team in developing a health and lifestyle app. We’re looking for an individual that has good programming skills, extremely passionate about making apps, and is interested in joining our team to bring our app to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

Building tools within the Unity Environment
-
Adapting existing submodules into Unity packages
-
Managing how packages are maintained
-
Building tools and in-depth supporting documentation for external games and teams to use

Abstract understanding of Unity game structures
-
Working in C# infrastructure
What You Bring To The Role
-
At least 2+ years experience working with the Unity game engine.
-
Shipped at least 1 major project on iOS/Android.

A good understanding of Unity engine’s overall game development pipeline and how to optimise development for the engine.

Strong maths skills.
-
Strong background in C#.

Great communication skills and enjoys working with other team members..

Creative, motivated, focused, and passionate about making apps.

The ability to prioritise and work on multiple tasks simultaneously and manage competing priorities.

Attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to get the job done without day-to-day direction.

Think on their feet and act quickly.

Have a can-do with the ability to turn a negative into a positive, no problem is too great.
Bonus Points!

Have worked with live-ops and continuing development of an existing product.

Understand basic back end stacks, i.e AWS.
-
Good understanding of unity optimisation skills and can identify performance bottleneck
-
Good understanding of multithreading and how to write code for such systems.
