Studio Coordinator

Overview

Playside, Australia’s largest independent games company is on the hunt for a Full-time Studio Coordinator. This is an incredible opportunity to take ownership of the successful care of our state of Art Game Studio. You'll be the heart and soul of the Melbourne Studio helping organize and coordinate administration duties and office procedures. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the front-of-house operations inc. security, visitor check-in, incoming/outgoing mail,

  • Ensuring the workplace is kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times

  • Making sure all mail, boxes, obsess over making the studio presentable. If something is out of place, you should be on top of it before anyone else sees.

  • Ensure every morning that the dishwasher is emptied, hand sanitizers are filled, and everything in the bathrooms is fully restocked. The fridge is full, the benches are clear and rubbish is in the bins.

  • Organizing and taking ownership of staff events - including but not limited to planning & organization

  • Construction of office furniture

  • Assist with coordinating Studio repairs, maintenance, and workspace projects

  • Keeping kitchen and Studio supplies well-stocked

  • Assist with the Inducting of new starters to the workspace and being a reliable resource for them

  • Organization of Same day collection of food, staff items, platters & Friday drinks ensuring there is a steady supply of cold beverages and food for Friday drinks.

What You Bring To The Role

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently to get the job done without day-to-day direction.

  • Highly organized and thrives in a busy working environment.

  • Clean freak - we want you to own the studio like it's your pride and joy.

  • Recognize and understand the need for confidentiality. Be a vault for any information you witness.

  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.

  • Have a can-do with the ability to turn a negative into a positive, no problem is too great

  • Continually look for ways we can do things better, be on the lookout for anything in the studio that might need attending to, fixing, stocking up or improving.

  • Comfortable with all forms of start-up communication e.g Slack, Zoom and able to adapt to new technologies easily.

  • Proficiency in Google Suite, curiosity in latest updates and is willing to learn new features and apps.

  • The ability to prioritise and work on multiple tasks simultaneously and manage competing priorities.
